Simple Pleasures, or, How Patient a Boy I am

It's pouring and dark outside. My toes are cold, although they are in socks.  I will leave in a few minutes to go interpret at an Intensive Care Unit, gowned up from neck to ankle, and shoulder to fingertips - my fingers slightly sweating inside of their non-latex gloves.

Yesterday I had quite an intoxicating fantasy of you. I made myself blush.

Today I realized that after years of an annoying habit, I have finally stopped spitting on the bathroom faucet when I brush my teeth.

Something is brewing that is beyond daydreaming and self discipline.

I can't wait for it

or for you.

be well; be loved.
