There's a type of sweet memory that you conjure. It is the color of a drip of honey being illuminated by the sun, but captured during another, earlier time.
This year I have been using a coding system on my calendar that provides a visual representation of the love that I feel. January is big, black outlines of hearts drawn over with a slender, blue-green marker. It is almost the end of January, and the image is provoking: Twenty six hearts shining with their summer-sea secrets staring back at me saying good morning and good month and good year: this is what you have built. It feels beautiful and it feels sublime. Such a perfect Welcome mat I step over each and every day.
be well; be loved,
k.
